Kid’s Flea Market This Saturday!

This Saturday, May 28th: The 8th Annual Kid’s Flea Market gives kids a chance to run their own business for a few hours at this family friendly, community event.

Registered sellers, we’re looking forward to seeing your creative booths filled with out-grown and gently used toys, books and games!

Shoppers young and old, the beginning of the summer is the perfect time to find bargains! Teachers, this is a great place to find good deals for your classrooms.

The FUN starts this weekend!

Come boogie with us this Friday in Franklin Park and join us for the 8th Annual Kid’s Flea Market at Corinth Square this Saturday to sell, swap or shop! If you’ve seen our Summer Toy Catalog you know the Learning Tree will be your fun-for- summer headquarters. It’s filled with fabulous new ideas for summer toys and in-store classes and activities!

Neighborhood Fun at 4th Friday Concerts

This Friday May 27th Moon City Big Band
6:30PM – 8:30PM at Franklin Park – Roe Ave. and Somerset Drive

Rally for Kids Concert
At Park Place in Barkley Square (corner of 116th and Ash Street)
Wed. June 1st, 5:00PM – 8:00PM

The Summer Sounds in the Park Concert Series, each Wednesday evening in June and July, kicks off with a “RALLY for Kids Concert” on June 1st to celebrate healthy parenting.

Park Place has teamed up with Shawnee Mission Health and Raised with Love and Limits to bring you this fun event. See here for complete details and activities.

Coming In June

Color Yourself Calm
Thursday June 16, 6:00PM – 8:00PM

Grownups, join us at Park Place Learning Tree for an evening of coloring and an opportunity to sample some small batch products for the home, body and health from our neighbors at Hand & Land.

We’ll put out pens, pencils and markers plus some coloring pages from Sterling Book or bring your own coloring book. Thoughtfully designed products from Hand & Land will enhance an evening of relaxation. No sign-up necessary!

Gardening and Storytime at the Learning TreeKid’s Gardening Classes
& Summer Storytime

Wednesdays in June and July at 10:00AM.

Park Place in Barkley Square (Corner of 116th Place and Ash Street)

We’re moving Wednesday storytime outside this summer to team up with Rosehill Gardens. Let’s get growing!

Summer Crafternoons at The Learning TreeFriday Crafternoons! $10/Project

June 17th and 24th, July 8th and 15th – 2:00PM – 3:30PM Ages 4+

We’ll open the downstairs Rainbow Room at our Corinth location from 2:00PM – 3:30PM for walk-in craft-sessions. Come when you want during the session, pick your project and decide how long you stay! Great for families with different ages and stages. $10 per project. No sign-up necessary. Please call and let us know if you have a group larger than three kiddos so we can plan ahead!
