Come See Us For National Puzzle Day!

Reminder: We’re Celebrating National Puzzle Day This Saturday & Sunday!

Baby with jigsaw puzzlePuzzles provide exercise for our brains young and old!

Each type of puzzle offers different challenges and works different skill sets. Puzzling can require visual spatial reasoning, matching, hand eye coordination, patterning and critical thinking.

We have all sorts of puzzles to choose from with different themes and degrees of difficulty. There are beginning wooden knob puzzles, floor puzzles, 3-D puzzles and jigsaw puzzles of all sizes. Then there’s the whole category of Brainteasers – the classic Rubik’s Cube and manipulation toys – as well as games and books that offer up brain exercising, problem solving puzzles to tickle your gray matter.

Drop Everything – at the Learning Tree!

An easy way for us to help with community projects is serving as a drop-off location for organizations that collect items for local kids and families in need. We happily partner at our Corinth Square store with Happy Bottoms Diaper Bank as a diaper drop off spot. We are also a drop off center for The Giving Brick, a non-profit organization that collects used LEGO bricks to give to kids in need.

Now, Drop Your Bling!

Yes bling! The Learning Tree stores are a drop-off location for the Mother’s Day Project! Do you have wearable costume jewelry (necklaces, earrings, pins, bracelets, rings) that’s cluttering drawers, no longer your style and creating a messy tangle?

Please consider donating it to the National Council of Jewish Women’s third annual Mother’s Day Project and dropping it off at either Corinth Square or Park Place. We’ll help it on its way to Mama!

Why Donate? It’s for Mama!

Here’s your chance to be personally involved in a joy-giving, happy-making, Mother’s Day Project that has touched over 1,700 local kids at some of the area’s poorest elementary schools. The local chapter of NCJW sets up a Mother’s Day “Jewelry Store” at each participating school for a day. Students “shop” (at no cost) the store, picking out the most beautiful, perfect gift for their mom or other special someone in their life. It’s wrapped up fancy and they get to deliver it with love!

Dig through your jewelry box asap – the bigger, more colorful, more sparklier the better- then drop off your treasures at either Learning Tree location and share some love!
