Play to learn…the greatest adventure!
Our Fall Catalog is full of toys with play opportunity.

Fall Toy CatalogOur Fall Catalog is filled with a whole lot of new, hand-picked toy ideas for kids of all ages and stages!
At the Learning Tree we like to think of ourselves as toy experts. When we choose to sell a toy the fun factor is important. However, we also look for toys that promote opportunities for your child to grow, develop and learn.
There is a hidden curriculum that often takes place when a child plays with a toy or game. A toy can become a teacher and play is perhaps the fastest and certainly the most fun way for a child to reach important milestones through physical, cognitive, communicative, social/emotional and sensory experiences.Check out the Learning Tree’s Fall catalog for pages of toys that turn on the light in your kid’s mind!

Come play with us!

Take a peek at a few of our catalog STAND-OUTS!

Boogie Board Play n’ Trace eWriter: Place this kid-friendly, erasable “tablet” over numbers, letters or illustrations, then trace away. For ages 4-7 yrs.

STEM – Simple Machines Activity Set: The wheel, axle, pulley, lever, screw, wedge, and inclined plane are “everyday” to some. But to hungry learners, they offer endless fascination! Make Glitter Clay Charms: This cool set features more than 35 different designs! Cute fruit, adorable animals, sweet treats, and tons more. Dr. Eureka: When we sat down with our French friends at Blue Orange to play their brand new brain-teasing game, it was a favorite! Like the game Set? You’ll love Dr. Eureka! It sounds easy to stack the balls into your test tube, match the challenge card, and yell “Eureka!” But wait. Did we mention you can’t touch the balls with your hands? Make your heart sing this fall!

“Music in Me will give parents a front row seat to witnessing how the power of music connects you to your child and builds brain function.” – Andie Weitz, Music in Me Creator.

Music In Me logoThis fall, Music in Me, a NEW program for young children and their families, will find its first home in the Rainbow Room at Corinth Square Learning Tree. Music in Me is an interactive, music class that educates through play and develops a love for music.

“I wanted to bring a musical program to KC which I modeled after classes that exist in NYC and Los Angeles. I love music and I love children,” said local creator, Andie Weitz.

Andie Weitz has been a lifelong music and child enthusiast. Now she has teamed up with early childhood educator Kit Smith, and professional musician and accompanist Joy Steincross, to create Music in Me.

“I knew I wanted to pull in quality, trained professionals to join me in developing this program,” said Andie. “Kit Smith has over 25 years experience as a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher in the Early Childhood School at Pembroke Hill. We raised our kids together and I have the utmost respect for her knowledge of child development. Joy Steincross is a positive energy, musically talented powerhouse. Her live piano music in our classes will provide a unique experience and another dimension of fun and learning.”

What is Andie’s vision for Music in Me? “I hope,” said Andie, “that Music in Me will provide the opportunity for parents/grandparents/caregivers to connect with their children, develop their young brain power, and leave class each week with a smile. And hopefully, look forward to coming back again and again!”

Andie Weitz lives in Shawnee Mission with her husband. She enjoys traveling, especially to visit her two children in NYC and Boston. Her passion for music began as a child studying piano and voice and followed her in high school and college where she performed in musical productions. She has continued to share her love of music through her volunteer work with children and seniors. She adores Broadway shows and concerts of all kinds.Kit Smith, Joy Steincross and Andie Weitz
