Join us for a Storytime trip “To The Cider Mill” with local author, Danna York

Author Danna YorkLocal author Danna York will make a visit to both Learning Tree locations this week!

Tomorrow, October 12th, she’ll be our special guest at the 10:30am Storytime at Park Place!

This Saturday, October 15th at 10:30am, Danna will join us for a story reading, activities, and apple tasting at Corinth. Let’s hear it for Jonathans, Granny Smiths and Honey Crisps!apples

Danna loves putting art into children’s hands and inspiring them through creativity. Her interactive story, To the Cider Mill, invites the reader to come along, color the illustrations, and add their own drawings to the story pages. Danna takes us on a traditional, Midwestern family outing to enjoy the bounty of Fall!To The Cider Mill by Danna York

Danna York is from Belton, Missouri. She fills her sketchbooks with ideas and thoughts collected from her surroundings, using them as the springboard for her work. She teaches art to children and treasures the memories of her creative experiences with her own children when they were young. Danna hopes to encourage this same creative process in children who read her book and is working on a new book with the same format.

We happily welcome back internationally acclaimed, multi-award winning silhouette artist and children’s author, Clay Rice, for two days in November. On Saturday, Nov. 12th, Clay will be at Corinth Square and on Sunday, Nov. 13th, at Park Place.

A Silhouette Sitting is $42 for two copies of the same child. Separate appointments must be made for each individual.
